Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and styling using a variety of grooming techniques.
2. Assess each dog’s grooming needs and recommend appropriate services based on individual breed characteristics and owner preferences.
3. Safely handle and restrain dogs during grooming sessions, employing techniques that minimize stress for the animals.
4. Maintain a clean and organized mobile grooming environment; sanitize equipment and work areas regularly.
5. Build rapport with pet owners, providing updates about their pets’ behavior and grooming status.
6. Educate pet owners about proper grooming techniques and care between appointments.
7. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including maintaining records of treatments and vaccinations.

Required Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; certification in dog grooming preferred.
2. Proven experience in dog grooming (minimum of 4 years) or completion of a recognized grooming program.
3. Strong knowledge of breed-specific grooming techniques and styles, including clipper work and scissor techniques.
4. Valid driver's license and clean driving record to operate the mobile grooming van.
