Job summary

True North Fleet Services is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician to support Elite Diesel in Augusta, GA. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair diesel engines on trucks and trailers in a mobile service environment.

This hands-on role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and professional growth, with training opportunities and ASE testing support. The position offers a stable schedule and potential long-term career advancement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel experience (fleet, dealership, or independent shop)
• Mobile service experience required
• ASE TSeries certifications preferred (T2, T4, T5, T6, T8) or willingness to obtain
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, not required)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on heavyduty trucks and trailers
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues
• Complete DOT inspections and ensure compliance standards are met
• Accurately document repairs and maintenance activities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized mobile work environment
• Collaborate with drivers, service advisors, and leadership
