We are currently hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II.

Role Overview: The Mobile Diesel Technician Level II performs licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, diagnostics, and other duties. They can perform advanced diagnostics and repairs under supervision, learning additional skills and techniques to progress in their career. The Technician II adheres to all policies and strives for high performance metrics.

Responsibilities include:

1. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile environment.
2. Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on various truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, starters, alternators, engine electronics, and more.
3. Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment, utilizing test instruments and road testing as needed.
4. Manage parts inventory and perform safety and vehicle inspections.
5. Communicate effectively with clients and team members, document work accurately, and complete all required forms.
6. Work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain productivity within standard repair times.
7. Use hand tools, diagnostic instruments, welding equipment, and operate company vehicles safely.
8. Maintain safety standards and comply with environmental and federal regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED; 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Own a set of hand tools necessary for the role.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Pass DOT background screening and physical; hold a valid DOT medical card or valid medical exemption.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Certifications:

• Required: ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• Preferred: ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, 608/609 certifications.
