Job summary

Cox Fleet in Wenonah, NJ seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will support multiple vehicle classes, manage parts on a service truck, and document findings via the TRAIT app. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer service.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, basic tooling, and a willingness to complete DOT requirements. ASE certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• PMs and DOT inspections in mobile/field environment.
• Light to heavy-duty vehicle repairs with supervision as needed.
• Maintain and manage parts inventory on company truck.
• Use of iOS devices and proprietary TRAIT app for RO documentation.
• DOT pre-employment and safety compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Carry out repairs on electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems.
• Independently manage parts inventory and reconcile on truck.
• Operate service vehicle and conduct pre-/post-trip safety checks.
• Communicate with customers and management for approvals and RO details.
• Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental policies.
