Job summary

McCandless Truck Center is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician to perform high-quality maintenance and repairs on International Motors and IC Bus vehicles. You will ensure safety, customer satisfaction, and efficient operations while following repair procedures and maintaining a clean workspace.

Qualifications

• Medium or heavy-duty technician, equivalent experience or qualification.
• Applicable certifications related to industry, products, and/or safety.
• Currently maintains or can obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• International Master Certified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for service events by reviewing repair orders, gathering information, securing tools, and ensuring parts access.
• Perform maintenance and repairs accurately and safely by following standards and inspecting components.
• Document work by describing repairs in the repair order and coordinating handovers.
• Apply technical expertise in troubleshooting, repair methods, vehicle systems, and proper tool usage.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of International and IC Bus products and offerings.
• Promote safety and compliance by coaching on best practices and following safety policies.
• Mentor coworkers and apprentices through hands-on coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Communicate effectively with team members, leadership, and customers to promote understanding and trust.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining relationships and timely support.
• Take ownership of challenges by addressing issues and seeking process improvements.
