Job summary

McCandless Truck Center is seeking a Diesel Technician-Mobile to perform high-quality maintenance and repairs on International Motors and IC Bus vehicles in Cheyenne, WY. The role emphasizes safety, customer satisfaction, and efficient service.

Qualifications

• Medium or heavy-duty technician, equivalent experience or qualification.
• Applicable certifications related to industry, products, and/or safety.
• Currently maintains or can obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• International Master Certified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for service events by reviewing repair orders, gathering information, securing tools, and ensuring access to parts.
• Perform maintenance and repairs accurately and safely by following standards and inspecting systems.
• Document work thoroughly by describing repairs in the repair order and coordinating the next job.
• Apply technical expertise in troubleshooting, repair methods, vehicle systems, and proper tool usage.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge of International and IC Bus offerings and align solutions with the value proposition.
• Promote safety and compliance by coaching on practices and following safety policies.
• Mentor coworkers and apprentices through hands-on coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Communicate effectively with team members, leadership, and customers to build trust.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining relationships and timely support.
• Take ownership of challenges and opportunities by addressing issues and pursuing improvements.
