Job summary

GTG Peterbilt in Davenport, IA seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician to travel to client sites for maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on diesel vehicles and equipment, including engine and brake services, inspections, and cooling system work.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong customer communication, and the ability to work independently while following Safety guidelines and DOT compliance. A valid CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with diesel truck and trailer repair, maintenance, and diagnostics.
• Minimum DOT Inspection Certified (additional schooling and certifications preferred).
• Must be able to provide sufficient tool inventory to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled repair, maintenance, and services on diesel vehicles and equipment as directed by the Service Manager.
• Communicate with customers professionally on job and schedule status.
• Maintain service truck and inventory; ensure paperwork is complete daily.
