Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services is hiring skilled auto/truck technicians in Madison to diagnose and repair Class 6-8 tractors, including brakes, electrical, and engine work. You’ll also perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and manage parts and service orders on a company device.

We value hands-on problem solving, reliability, and customer-focused communication. Valid license and ability to lift 50+ lbs required; ownership of tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience repairing Commercial Class 8 Semi-Tractors.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Comfortable using computers for billing and work orders.
• Self-motivated with good organization and planning skills.
• Willing to write and explain repair findings clearly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, and repair Class 6-8 tractors with minimal trailer work (brakes, electrical, hydraulic, A/C, engine).
• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections; service components like tires, hubs, axles and liftgates.
• Write work orders and manage repair orders on company device for mobile road calls and in-yard work.
• Inspect tractors and trailers to meet DOT road safety requirements.
• Manage service truck inventory and source parts from local vendors.
• Complete inspection reports and DOT documentation accurately and on time.
• Deliver strong customer service and report findings to management.
