Work Schedule: 4-10 hour night shifts, Thursday-Sunday, 10PM-8AM.

Headquartered in Indianapolis, Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is a leading fleet maintenance company providing mobile and onsite services nationwide, including accident repair, painting, and heavy mechanical repair across 50+ service centers.

Position: Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician Level II

The technician will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, diagnostics, and other duties. They will also perform more advanced diagnostics under supervision and continue to develop mechanical skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs on various vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, transmission, and other systems.
  • Test and road test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
  • Manage parts inventory and document work using company tools and apps.
  • Maintain safety standards and vehicle cleanliness.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience or equivalent education/certification and experience.
  • Own set of hand tools.
  • Obtain ASE T8 certification within 18 months.
  • Pass DOT background screening and physical.
  • Valid driver’s license, at least 21 years old, with a clean driving record.
Preferred Certifications:
  • ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8 certifications.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and physical stamina.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
