Job summary

DeVivo Companies is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician to service customers across Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The role is full-time and operates from a company truck, supporting surrounding areas with preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in automotive/truck/bus repair, own basic hand tools, and a valid driver’s license. Training is provided; benefits include insurance and retirement plan options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in automotive, truck or bus repair.
• Proficient with computers and basic software used in shop operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on medium and heavy duty vehicles.
• Conduct diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle systems.
• Follow established technical and administrative processes.
• Complete repair orders and track parts usage.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members and customers.
• Stay current on technical and regulatory requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of medium and heavy duty vehicles
• Perform diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles
• Follow established technical & administrative processes
• Complete repair orders & parts usage forms
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members, & customers
• Remain current on technical & regulation requirements

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma, technical school or equivalent
• Minimum of one-year experience in the field of automotive, truck or bus repair
• Own & maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions
• Proficient with computer operation/usage
• Valid driver’s license
