Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services in Houston, TX, seeks experienced diesel and trailer technicians for on-site maintenance and mobile service. You will perform repairs, inspections, and preventive work at customer locations, ensuring quality and safety.

You will manage repair orders, source parts locally, update job statuses on a tablet, and complete DOT documentation efficiently. The role requires 3+ years of relevant experience, a valid CDL, and reliability for extended hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Communication skills
• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
• 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• 2 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must possess proper tools

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires, etc.
• Schedule and overlook all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/Replace vehicle/ trailer components.
• Open and Close repair orders on a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.
