Job summary

Diversified Mobile Services, Inc. in North Kingstown, RI seeks a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician with a proven track record in diesel repair.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of diesel vehicles and equipment, perform on-site PMs, and contribute to high-quality workmanship for fleet customers. We offer competitive pay of $35–$45 per hour based on experience, plus employer-paid medical, dental and vision, IRA matching, paid time off, and ongoing education support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of diesel repair experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams.
• Your own professional mechanic's tools.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
• Perform onsite PMs and minor repairs for fleet customers.
• Complete onsite weekly yard checks for vehicle deficiencies.
• Performing advanced diesel engine diagnostics and repairs.
• Diagnosing and repairing drivetrain components.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Document repairs accurately and explain repairs exceeding standard labor times.
• Maintain organized tools, parts inventory, and a clean work area.
• Treat customer vehicles and equipment with professionalism and respect.
• Work independently while managing multiple repair priorities.
• Continue to develop skills through training and certifications.
• Work in the shop and do urgent road calls mostly during business hours.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

We're looking for someone with:

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Welding and light fabrication experience
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (preferred but not required)
