We are hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II.

The Mobile Diesel Technician Level II will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light and follow-up repairs, diagnostics, and other duties. They can perform more advanced diagnostics and repairs under supervision, continuing to learn additional skills and techniques. A successful Technician complies with all policies and achieves high performance metrics.

DUTIES:

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment including electrical, brake, cooling systems, starters, alternators, engine electronics, steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, etc.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair equipment using test instruments and road test vehicles.
• Manage parts inventory and perform safety checks and inspections of the company vehicle.
• Communicate with clients and support team for approvals and notes.
• Complete documentation and upload pictures of work performed.
• Work independently, manage schedule, and maintain productivity.
• Obtain parts from vendors as necessary.
• Follow safety and environmental policies, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess and supply necessary hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Pass DOT background screening and physical.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain Driver Qualification File.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate regulations.

Certifications:

• Required: ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• Preferred: ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, 608/609.
