We are currently hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. The Technician will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, diagnostics, and other duties. They will perform more advanced diagnostics and repairs under supervision and continue learning advanced mechanical skills and diagnostic techniques. A successful Technician complies with all policies and meets high performance metrics.

DUTIES:

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, starters, alternators, engine electronics, and more.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck equipment using test instruments.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions.
• Identify problems, evaluate information, and generate solutions.
• Manage parts inventory and equipment on company-issued service trucks.
• Maintain and operate company vehicles, conduct safety checks, and inspections.
• Communicate effectively with clients and support team.
• Manage tasks, prioritize work, and use various tools and equipment.
• Document work performed and upload pictures using company devices and applications.
• Complete DOT forms and documentation timely.
• Work independently, manage schedules, and maintain productivity.
• Obtain necessary parts from vendors.
• Communicate with management regarding repairs and approvals.
• Follow safety and environmental policies, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related experience, or equivalent education/certification and experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Pass DOT-regulated background screening and physical.
• Valid DOT medical card or equivalent.
• At least 21 years old, with a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Certifications:

• Required: ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• Preferred: ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T608/609.
