We are currently hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level I.

The Mobile Diesel Technician I will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and other duties as assigned. They can perform more advanced repairs under supervision and assist higher-level technicians while learning additional skills. Work is frequently audited for quality, and high performance metrics are expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, engines, transmissions, and more.
• Manage parts inventory and equipment on the service truck.
• Maintain and operate the service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and pre/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate effectively with clients, manage tasks, and document work performed using company devices and applications.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED, up to 2 years’ related experience.
• Own a set of necessary hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Pass a DOT-regulated background check and physical; current DOT medical card preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean 3-year MVR.

Certifications

• Must obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.

Preferred Certifications

• ASE T4 (Brakes) certification.
