Fleet Services – A Cox Automotive Company, provides mobile fleet maintenance and repair services nationwide, supporting light to heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

We are hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II responsible for performing licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs, including diagnostics and other duties as assigned. The technician will perform advanced diagnostics and repairs under supervision and continue to learn mechanical skills and diagnostic techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on various vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, engines, transmissions, and more.
• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions using test instruments.
• Road test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and perform safety checks and inspections of company vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members, document work performed, and complete all required forms accurately.
• Work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain productivity within standard repair times.
• Obtain necessary parts and communicate with management regarding repairs and approvals.
• Follow safety, health, and environmental policies, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Must pass DOT background screening and physical; valid DOT medical card preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Certifications (Required within 18 months):

• ASE T8 (PMI)

Preferred Certifications:

• ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, ASE 608/609
