We are hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II.

The Mobile Diesel Technician II will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and diagnostics. They can perform advanced diagnostics and repairs under supervision, learning additional skills and techniques.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile environment.
  • Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, engines, transmissions, and more.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment using test instruments and road testing.
  • Manage parts inventory and perform safety checks on company vehicles.
  • Work effectively with clients and team members, prioritize tasks, and document work performed.
  • Use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding tools as needed.
  • Complete documentation accurately and timely.
  • Work independently, maintain productivity, and meet repair times.
  • Obtain necessary parts and communicate with management regarding repairs and approvals.
  • Follow safety policies and conduct vehicle inspections.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
  • Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • Must pass DOT physical and background screening.
  • Valid driver’s license; at least 21 years old due to interstate regulations.

Certifications:

  • Required: ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months
  • Preferred: ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, 608/609

  • Problem-solving, physical ability for labor, effective communication, tool selection, judgment, and reasoning skills.
