Mechanics Hub, a growing family-owned mobile diesel repair company in Goodrich, MI, is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to service commercial trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment at customer locations. Ideal candidates bring strong diesel diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and independent field-service experience.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment in the field, communicating with customers and the owner.

Formación

• Hands-on diesel, heavy‑duty truck, fleet, or heavy equipment repair experience.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diesel diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field and make sound repair decisions.

Responsabilidades

• Perform mobile diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brakes, suspension, steering, electrical systems, and drivability issues.
• Troubleshoot exhaust aftertreatment, emissions, HVAC, and related mechanical systems.
• Independently diagnose problems at customer locations and determine repair solutions in the field.
• Communicate with customers and owner regarding repairs, parts, scheduling, and service requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:Perform mobile diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on commercial trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brakes, suspension, steering, electrical systems, and drivability issues.Troubleshoot and repair exhaust aftertreatment, emissions, HVAC, and related mechanical systems.Independently diagnose equipment problems at customer locations and determine effective repair solutions in the field.Communicate directly with customers and the owner regarding repairs, parts, scheduling, and service requirements.Maintain accurate service records, document repair findings, and keep the company service truck, tools, and equipment organized. Qualifications:Hands-on diesel, heavy-duty truck, fleet, or heavy equipment repair experience.Strong mechanical, electrical, and diesel diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work independently, diagnose problems, and make sound repair decisions in the field.Valid driver's license with a good driving record.Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.Strong communication skills, reliability, and professionalism when working directly with customers.Comfortable working outdoors in changing conditions, with a commitment to quality workmanship and continued learning. #SJ1 Compensation:$26.00 – $45.00/hour, based on experienceBenefits:Company-provided service truckCompany-provided specialty tools and diagnostic equipmentFlexible schedulingPaid time offParental leaveShifts:Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PMFlexible scheduling based on employee availability and customer needsFull-time and part-time opportunities availableOptional weekend work available, but not required
