Boggs Recruiting is seeking a Field Service Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair diesel trucks and equipment in the San Antonio/Austin area. This role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to work independently with 8-hour shifts and on-call responsibilities.

The technician will perform diagnostics, replace engine and braking components, conduct preventative maintenance, maintain records, and support customers with technical assistance and training.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• 2-4 years related experience and/or training.
• Good IT and diagnostic skills.
• Familiar with OEM and aftermarket software—All Makes.

Responsibilities

• Run diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify faults.
• Replace engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on service trucks.
• Maintain a parts inventory and organize tools.
• Keep detailed records of serviced vehicles for customers and supervisors.
• Follow inspection procedure checklists during service calls.
• Test drive vehicles to gauge performance after service.
• Submit daily work logs and time sheets to supervisor.

Our customer is looking for a Field Service Diesel Technician to diagnosis and repair Diesel Trucks and Equipment in the San Antonio/Austin area. This position is an 8-hour shift with on call responsibilities. This is a busy fast-growing company with offering a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, paid time-off and a 401K.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Supporting Diesel Truck and Equipment customers in the San Antonio/Austin area, we are looking for Mobile DieselTechnicians who have good attention to details and strong communication skills. The primary duties of a Mobile DieselMechanic include performing diagnostic tests on various vehicles to find faults, analyzing diagnostic test results and repairing or replacing engine, steering, transmission, braking or lighting system components. Mobile Technicians need to be highly organized and communicate effectively, as they will be expected to maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles and interact with customers daily.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Running diagnostic tests on vehicles
• Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
• Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks
• Maintaining a parts inventory
• Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
• Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
• Documenting and submitting daily work logs/time sheets to supervisor

• Basic knowledge with current computer software, related hardware, and machine electronic systems
• Familiar with OEM an Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components d aftermarket software- All Makes
• Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools

• Good IT and diagnostic skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• Two to four years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENCES and REGISTRATIONS:

• Valid Drivers License and clean driving record.
