Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services is seeking experienced diesel and trailer technicians to join our mobile on-site maintenance team in California. You will diagnose and repair a range of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, handle DOT inspections, and manage service orders at the customer location.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Communication skills required.
• Ability to work extended hours including weekends/holidays when needed.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Self-motivated with good organization and planning.
• Ability to use a computer/tablet for work orders and labor tracking.
• 2+ years of annual federal and brake inspections experience.
• 3+ years of truck/trailer maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Must possess proper tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers (brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical, engines, exhaust, after-treatment, lift-gates, tires).
• Schedule and oversee maintenance procedures including preventive and DOT inspections.
• Repair/replace vehicle/trailer components as needed.
• Open/close repair orders on company device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires, etc.
• Schedule and overlook all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/Replace vehicle/ trailer components.
• Open and Close repair orders on a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Communication skills
• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
• Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
• 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• 3 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must possess proper tools

WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT

• Certifications are a plus
