Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services in Hammonton, NJ is hiring skilled diesel truck and trailer technicians to perform repairs and inspections at customer sites. Our mobile maintenance team comes to you with certified techs who handle brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical systems, and engine components.

We value reliability, safety, and good communication; expect to manage maintenance orders, source parts, and complete DOT forms.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Communication skills required and the ability to work odd hours.
• Valid Driver's License required and basic computer use for work orders.
• Must possess proper tools and be DOT and brake certified when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• Schedule and oversee maintenance procedures, including DOT inspections.
• Repair/Replace vehicle and trailer components.
• Open/Close repair orders and obtain parts from vendors.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires, etc.
• Schedule and overlook all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/Replace vehicle/ trailer components.
• Open and Close repair orders on a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Communication skills
• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
• Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
• 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• 2 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must possess proper tools

WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT

Salary information: $29 - $36/hr. - pay is commensurate with experience
