Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services is seeking skilled diesel and trailer technicians to service Class 6–8 trucks and trailers at customer locations across our service area. The role emphasizes on-site maintenance with a focus on diagnostics, brakes, A/C, electrical systems, and DOT compliance.

You will manage repair orders, parts, and documentation while adhering to safety standards. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of diesel/trailer repair experience, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
• Willing to work extended hours including weekends.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Able to use a computer/tablet for electronic work orders.
• Experience with annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• Must possess proper tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6–8 trucks and trailers.
• Schedule and oversee maintenance procedures, including DOT inspections.
• Repair or replace vehicle and trailer components.
• Open and close repair orders on company device.
• Procure parts from local vendors and manage inventory.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Perform repairs and inspections on a variety Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires, etc.
• Schedule and overlook all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/Replace vehicle/ trailer components.
• Open and Close repair orders on a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Communication skills
• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
• Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
• 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• 2 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must possess proper tools

WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT

• High School education or equivalent
• Experience repairing cranes and generators
• Previous experience working on bucket trucks and aerial lifts
• Certifications are a plus
• Welding experience
• CDL, a plus
• Working Conditions:

Salary information: $38 - $40/hr. – pay is commensurate with experience
