Responsibilities

The Mobile Service Technician is responsible for maintaining the fleet for clients and handling service calls at client locations. Provide service to our customers while maintaining exceptional customer service. This includes cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, removal of parts and attachments, installation with proper manuals, report writing, disassembly, assembly, parts reuse evaluation, and reconditioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and inspections.
  • Manage inventory control for the service truck and tools.
  • Report to the Service Manager and perform assigned duties daily.
  • Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible schedules.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical information to determine and perform repairs.
  • Diagnose and replace components such as injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, clutches, fan hubs, differentials, brakes, batteries, transmissions, and other parts.
  • Complete diagnostic and documentation functions using the company computer system.
  • Inspect safety devices and make necessary adjustments.
  • Lubricate moving parts and verify repairs meet specifications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance as requested.
  • Accurately document work performed and submit paperwork promptly.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and foster positive relations.
  • Advise customers on future repairs or services.
  • Participate in training and apply learned skills on the job.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
  • Valid CDL and Medical card as per FMVSS requirements.
  • Mechanical aptitude and technical skills are essential.
