A Plus Mobile Fleet Service Inc is seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Brea, CA. This is a hands-on, on-the-go role for a technician who thrives working independently to keep commercial fleets running at peak performance.

Responsibilities include on-site diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance at customer locations, plus documenting work orders and managing tools and inventory, with a focus on safety and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic (mobile/fleet)
• Heavy‑duty diesel engines knowledge (Cummins, Detroit, PACCAR)
• Proficient with diagnostic software and tools
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; CDL a plus
• Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety requirements
• Own tools preferred; reliable and detail‑oriented work ethic

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site diesel engine diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance at customer locations
• Troubleshoot and repair heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, and commercial fleet vehicles
• Conduct brake inspections, repairs, and adjustments in compliance with DOT regulations
• Service and repair electrical systems, cooling systems, transmissions, and drivetrains
• Complete accurate work orders and document parts used and services performed
• Maintain and organize mobile service truck, tools, and inventory
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding repair status and recommendations
