Job summary

Martin Marietta seeks a Mobile Mechanic to ensure safe, efficient operation of diesel-powered equipment across multiple sites. You will diagnose, repair, maintain, and overhaul heavy trucks, loaders, haulers, and other mobile gear, often performing field repairs.

Role requires 2+ years of mobile equipment experience; CAT maintenance preferred. You will mentor junior technicians and collaborate with shop supervisors to prioritize work orders while upholding MSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mobile equipment maintenance experience (preferred).
• CAT maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system failures on diesel‑powered heavy equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance including oil and filter changes, lubrication, and brake/driveline inspections.
• Weld and fabricate as needed while following safety policies and guidelines.
• Oversee major/minor mobile equipment maintenance and coordinate with supervisor.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams for accurate repairs.
• Use hand/power tools and testing equipment to verify performance and diagnose faults.
• Conduct pre‑shift safety inspections per MSHA and company guidelines.
