Role Overview

The Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician performs licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and diagnostics, working under supervision to develop advanced skills. The role requires high performance and adherence to safety and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

1. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on various vehicles and trailers.
2. Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck and trailer equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, engines, transmissions, and more.
3. Manage parts inventory and operate company vehicle safely, conducting safety checks and inspections.
4. Document work performed accurately using company tools and systems.
5. Communicate effectively with clients, management, and support teams.
6. Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and federal regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED with 5 years’ related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess necessary hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) and 608/609 certifications within 18 months.
• Pass DOT physical and background checks; valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum age of 21 years due to interstate regulations.

Preferred Certifications

• ASE T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, A8, L1, L2 certifications.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and physical ability to perform heavy labor.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and operate company equipment safely.
• Effective time management and independent work skills.
