Job description

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a counter-intelligence scope (CI) Poly clearances.
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience or PhD with 3 years relevant experience).
  • Experienced in developing, testing, and implementation of applications for mobile devices.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining engineering documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience with the integration and testing of systems in operational environments.
  • Ability to analyze issues and develop solutions to operational issues.
  • Strong communication, writing, presentation, and organization skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearances.
  • Master’s Degree in a technical field such as Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related discipline.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a CI Poly, US Citizenship is required

Peraton is seeking an experienced Mobile Device Communications Engineer to join our national intelligence program in Northern Virginia that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client’s global missions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement software programs for mobile devices.
  • Test, debug and trouble shoot mobile applications.
  • Research, design, plan, and develop of new advanced network technologies, network components and radio frequency (RF) and/or wireless transmission.
  • Design and develop communications products and network technologies.
  • Perform design, project management, acceptance testing, and vendor assessment activities.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to determine communications requirements and prepare engineering specifications to ensure functional requirements are met.
  • Perform product testing and create models and prototypes.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of systems documentation.
  • Drive a consistent set of standards for equipment, network protocols, configuration, and operational procedures.
  • Remain current on all regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain communications systems.
  • Design, develop, install, and test system equipment and implement procedures to make all components operational.
  • Providing technical expertise, services and solutions revolving around various modes of communication and information transfer, including wireless telephony services, radio and satellite communications, internet, and broadband technologies.
  • Support all aspects of service delivery, from carrying out feasibility exercises and determining connectivity and signal access, to preparing detailed, technical, and operational documentation.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture, system requirements, design specifications, test plans, and integration procedures.
  • Travel: Travel may be required within the National Capital Region (NCR) on an as needed basis for customer or corporate requirements.
