Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking an exam and treatment dentist to support Florida Army National Guard deployments, performing exams and treatments in mobile settings at client sites across Florida, primarily weekends. This is a part-time, 'as needed' position.

Candidates must hold an active Florida dental license, CPR/BLS, and comply with HIPAA and military regulations. Prior military dental readiness exposure is a plus; strong endodontic and oral surgery skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Active Florida dental license with no restrictions.
• Current and active DEA number preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Professional liability insurance policy.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills.
• Utilization of universal precautions for patient care.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly.
• Ability to work for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed.
• Comfort in working in a mobile dental setting.
• Must be solution oriented.
• Must submit no less than two professional references with resume.
• Experience in a military setting and knowledge of DRC/deployment regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete examinations/screenings and ensure accurate charting on military forms.
• Complete comprehensive dental treatment including restorative, endodontic, and/or oral surgery procedures; strong endodontic and OS skills.
• Document findings/completed treatments on military forms and classify soldiers.
• Work collaboratively with event team.
• Safeguard soldiers’ information.
• Ensure actions comply with HIPAA and related laws and regulations.
