Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Training specific in medical terminology, insurance requirements, customer service highly desirable.
• One-year previous experience operating an RV, bus or van transport.
• Hold a valid driver’s license in the State of Georgia.
• Required to submit Motor Vehicle Report at time of hire and annually.
• Ability to drive in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to function in a team environment.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and an ability to work with a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Transport staff in a safe and professional manner.
• Provide driving services to different addresses and routes while adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Complete vehicle maintenance inspection prior to daily usage for safety and comfort.
• Complete logs and reports and schedule vehicle maintenance as prescribed.
• Assist with light office duties on the vehicle and as needed.
• Greet patients with enthusiasm and focus on customer service.
• Gather data for patient registration and enter into ECW with minimal errors.
• Verify coverage and eligibility for new patients using portals or phone.
• Communicate estimated co-pays and deductibles and collect payments at service.
