Job summary

Lumina Healthcare in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a mobile dentist assistant for a Part-Time or Full-Time role. You will travel by company van to multiple facilities in a designated territory and assist the dentist during treatments.

Responsibilities include preparing carts, driving between facilities, sterilizing instruments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring safety on every visit. A Dental Certificate and X-ray Certification are required, with a valid CA/AZ driver’s license and ability

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience as a dental assistant or equivalent, preferred and desired, but willing to train.
• Dental Certificate and X-ray Certification required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, including sterilization and infection control
• California or Arizona Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record
• Basic computer usage for online training, patient records and email

Responsibilities

• Assist Dentist in post-acute care settings.
• Round daily at multiple facilities.
• Load equipment and charts into vehicle and transport to facilities.
• Prepare clinical cart and supplies for the day’s schedule.
• Drive to and from health care facilities in company vehicle.
• Maintain cleanliness and inventory in mobile carts.
• Verify patient identification prior to treatment.
