Covenant Community Care in Detroit seeks a dedicated Mobile Dental Assistant to support our on-site dental program serving underserved communities. You will assist dentists, manage patient flow, and help with administrative tasks across multiple sites, including schools and shelters, ensuring safe, friendly care.

At Covenant Community Care, we are a faith based non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center serving the communities of Detroit in our clinics that offer integrated medical, dental and counseling healthcare services. We are seeking new team members to join our mobile dental team!

Job Description:

Covenant's Mobile Dental Program provides on-site comprehensive dental care to the underserved population of Metro Detroit. We partner with over 25 schools, 70 head-starts, as well numerous churches, shelters, and rehabilitation centers throughout the area.

Responsibilities:

• Assists dentists and dental hygienists with dental procedures
• Performs administrative tasks such as dental charting, creating patient appointments, and registration.
• Assists with clinic set up and take down
• Takes and develops dental x-rays
• Sterilizes dental instruments and equipment and maintains proper infection controlMaintains dental supplies and inventory on-site
• Manages patient flow of the on-site clinic
• Performing other duties as assigned

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-year dental assistant experience in a dental office/environment.
• Proficient in managing electronic patient records in Dentrix
• Bilingual is a plus, but not required.
