Job summary

Austin Achieve Public Schools is seeking a Custodian Float to support custodial operations across all four campuses and the Bus Yard office. The primary schedule is 2:30 PM–10:30 PM with flexibility to cover morning and late shifts as needed, traveling between locations to ensure clean, safe facilities.

The role involves routine cleaning, safety procedures, and occasional deep cleaning during breaks or special events. Candidates should be dependable, punctual, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be on feet all day.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid driver license and ability to travel between campuses.
• Fingerprint background check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide custodial coverage at four campuses and the Bus Yard office based on operational needs.
• Maintain the primary work schedule of 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, with flexibility to cover morning or late shifts as assigned.
• Travel between campuses to cover staff absences, vacancies, special events, and other needs.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks in classrooms, restrooms, exam rooms, and common areas; mop, sweep, sanitize, and restock supplies.
• Respond to cleaning emergencies and safety concerns, following procedures and using PPE when required.
• Assist with deep cleaning during school breaks and special projects.
