Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a dual-modality CT/X-Ray Technologist for a mobile emergency response unit in Florida. The position requires ARRT CT(R) certification and a minimum of two years in CT and radiology, plus BLS certification and applicable Florida licensure.

You will operate Canon CT scanners and Epic Radiant EMR, serve patients of all ages, and work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with a 36-hour week and every-other weekend.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiology program; HS diploma required.
• ARRT (CT)(R) certification required at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical radiology and CT experience.
• BL S certification; Florida DOH license if applicable; other certs accepted.

Responsibilities

• Mobile imaging unit deployed to field emergencies.
• CT section performs dual-modality X-ray and CT imaging.
• Service patients of all ages.
• Operate Canon CT scanners (preferred) and Epic Radiant EMR.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Radiology program
• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• ARRT (CT)(R) certification required
• Florida State DOH license required at time of consideration
• License required if applicable
• Will accept NMTCB, ARMRIT, or ARDMS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years clinical radiology experience required
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a CT Technologist required
• Must maintain competency in a minimum of two imaging modalities
• Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures and practices
• Ability to clearly communicate exams and procedures to patients
• Proficiency with computer software and basic troubleshooting
• Familiarity with imaging and patient care equipment

Responsibilities

• Mobile imaging unit that deploys to the field for emergency response situations
• All age patient population served
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with every other weekend built in on a Friday-Sunday block schedule
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• On-call requirements as requested
• Uses Epic (Radiant) EMR
• Canon CT scanner experience preferred but not required
• Position based at a mobile unit responding to field emergencies
• No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be considered
• No RTO permitted during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 8 days RTO allowed for the 13-week contract
• Unit manager will conduct candidate interviews
