Job summary

Lenape Valley Foundation in Bristol, PA seeks a Mobile Crisis Worker to support individuals in behavioral health crises. The role provides immediate support, conducts initial assessments, and collaborates with individuals and families to develop crisis plans.

This part-time position offers training, a vehicle for shifts, and opportunities to grow within the crisis programs, including new Bright Path Center initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, gerontology, criminal justice, theology, nursing, or counseling; or be a registered nurse.
• At least two years in human services with one year in direct mental health care.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer use; experience with EHR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to the mobile crisis line.
• Provide triage, crisis counseling, information, and referrals via phone.
• Conduct face-to-face level-of-care assessments in a team setting.
• Deliver in-person crisis counseling and develop crisis plans.
• Process involuntary commitment applications and coordinate emergency psychiatric evaluations as needed.

In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you will provide immediate support, conduct initial assessments, and collaborate with individuals and their families to develop effective crisis plans. No two shifts are ever the same—each day brings new opportunities to make a meaningful impact. You’ll also play a key role in the launch of the Bright Path Center, as Lenape Valley expands to include Substance Use Disorder and Withdrawal Management Services—services in which our Crisis Team will be essential.

Current Openings

• Monday: 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM (Bristol, PA location)
  • Additional shifts available for site based crisis in Doylestown, PA

What You Bring

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, gerontology, criminal justice, theology, nursing, or counseling; or be a registered nurse
• At least two years of experience in human services, with one year in direct mental health care
  • PREFERRED:At least one year’s experience in a drug and alcohol setting
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in computer use; experience with EHR systems preferred
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without accommodation
