Job summary

CGC seeks a Rapid Response Clinician to respond to real-time mental health crises for children and adults in Northeast Florida. You will assess, stabilize, and provide ongoing support with a trauma‑informed, whole‑family approach.

You must hold a current FL LCSW/LMHC/LMFT license and bring 2+ years of pediatric/adolescent experience, Baker Act familiarity, and strong de‑escalation skills. Travel within the region may be required.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy.
  • Current FL LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT license.
  • 2+ years of experience providing therapeutic services to children and adolescents, including DSM/ICD-based treatment planning.
  • Experience with Florida Baker Act criteria and procedures.
  • Valid FL driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation with liability insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line crisis intervention for children and adults.
  • Lead crisis stabilization and de-escalation while preserving client dignity.
  • Initiate Baker Act when criteria are met and support unlicensed responders when needed.
  • Offer after-hours and weekend crisis response by phone or in person.
  • Develop comprehensive client action plans with families and schools.
