Job summary

Memorial Health is seeking a Mobile Crisis Response clinician to provide direct crisis intervention for adults, children, and families in community or hospital settings. You will perform crisis assessments, de-escalate crises, coordinate care, and facilitate admissions when needed.

Responsibilities include telehealth and in-person assessments, collaboration with EMS and police, and documentation in the EHR. A background in mental health services and a valid Illinois driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or closely related human service field from an accredited university or meets the “Mental Health Professional” designation as determined by the Department of Human Services
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or closely related human services field from an accredited university is preferred
  • Valid IL driver’s license and ability to pass background check and drug test required
  • CADC credential preferred but not required
  • CPR, First Aid, and Personal Safety certifications within 45 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct crisis intervention to individuals at the scene of the crisis.
  • Utilize in-person and telehealth crisis assessments.
  • Coordinate care with law enforcement, EMS, and other providers.
  • Coordinate inpatient and outpatient referrals for emergency psychiatric evaluations.
  • Complete required administrative and legal paperwork for crisis services.
  • Document assessments in the client’s electronic health record (EHR).
  • Attend required supervision and ongoing education to maintain clinical competencies.
