Mobile Crisis Intervention Clinician - Overnights

Join Riverside Community Care as a Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) Clinician! This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the Community Behavioral Health Center’s (CBHC) Mobile Crisis Intervention program.

The Overnight Master’s level Clinician is a key member of the MCI team, providing crisis intervention services 24/7, either on-site or mobile, to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance abuse issues. The role involves supporting Community Crisis Stabilization Unit consumers, acting as a liaison with community providers, and collaborating with other overnight clinicians to triage cases and determine the most appropriate intervention location, prioritizing community-based, non-hospital settings.

Orientation to Mobile Crisis Intervention is provided, focusing on diagnosis, safety assessment, and resource awareness based on the level of care. Clinical supervision is available, including licensure track hours for eligible employees. Riverside offers an outstanding staff training program with CEUs.

The Overnight Clinician will be responsible for:

  1. Performing crisis intervention (evaluation, stabilization, referral, follow-up) on-site, in the community, and in emergency departments.
  2. Assessing mental health and substance use issues to triage cases independently.
  3. Collaborating respectfully with consumers, families, providers, and insurers throughout the evaluation and stabilization process.
  4. Securing placements in detox, inpatient units, and diversionary levels of care, and coordinating transfers.
  5. Working efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while liaising with stakeholders and providers.
  6. Providing telephonic support, arranging assessments, and organizing transportation as needed.

Schedule: Part-Time, 32 hours

  • Overnights - Tuesday and Friday through Sunday

Pay Rate:

  • Unlicensed Clinician - $35.69/hour
  • Licensed Clinician - $38.25/hour
  • Additional hourly rates of $1 for 2nd shift (evenings), $2 for 3rd shift (overnights), and $1 for weekend shifts.
