Job summary

Santé Group invites applications for a Mobile Crisis Intern (in office) in Centreville, MD. You will work on the frontline crisis intervention team, assess and develop crisis plans for clients in the community, and gain hands-on experience in behavioral health with on-the-job training and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in master’s level degree program in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field of study.
• At least one (1) year of professional experience (experience working within a crisis environment preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform behavioral health assessments with supervision from a licensed professional.
• Effectively communicate clients’ needs and make internal referrals.
• Demonstrate capacity to work with diverse clients from children to geriatric and with dual diagnosis.
• Complete clinical and non-clinical documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Coordinate with community resources and family/community partners.
• Educate individuals about mental health, substance abuse, available resources, and the agency’s services.
• Abide by all laws and regulations related to confidentiality and PHI.
