Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an experienced Crane Operator to operate a mobile crane, conduct inspections, and ensure safe lifting and handling of materials at diverse sites. The role requires strong communication skills, OSHA/ANSI crane knowledge, and ability to work extended hours outdoors.

The position entails setting up equipment, directing helpers, and maintaining safety records while supporting modular deliveries and site operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1+ years of crane-related experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI crane standards.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
• Strong oral and written communication; technical and functional skills.
• CDL Class A is required, NCCCO/TSS/TLL/LBC are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a mobile crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads.
• Unload crane accessories from trailers or support vehicles.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and routine equipment checks.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain logs of vehicle usage (FMCSA).
• Work long hours, including weekends/holidays, with exposure to outdoor conditions.
• Carry tools for running repairs and assist in setup/teardown at sites.
