Responsibilities
- Operate a mobile crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads.
- Unload crane accessories from trailers or support vehicles.
- Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections along with daily and monthly equipment inspections.
- Follow appropriate safety procedures and maintain logs of vehicle repair status and working hours (FMCSA).
- Work under direct supervision, with long hours, frequent sitting, standing, moving, and climbing.
- May be exposed to extreme year‑round outdoor environmental conditions and work weekends or holidays.
- Perform routine maintenance.
- Carry tools for running repairs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 5+ years of experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI standards in crane operations.
- Pass drug test and background check.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication skills, as well as technical and functional skills.
- Preferred but not required: CDL Class A license, NCCCO, TSS, TLL, LBC, LAT, STC.
Abilities
- Lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Relocate a 12‑foot stepladder without assistance.
- Work at heights up to 60 feet and climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
- Walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and reach overhead routinely and repetitively.
- Have good vision (may be corrected), ability to see in color, and ability to hear and communicate in English.
- Use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
- Recognize when something is wrong or likely to go wrong (problem recognition).
- Apply general rules to specific problems to produce sensible answers.
- Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
- See details at close range (within a few feet).
- Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
