Job summary

Allegiance Crane & Equipment LLC in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking a full-time crane operator to operate a fleet of hydraulic cranes. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to company policies while performing lifting operations.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of crane operation experience, a valid Class A/B CDL, and NCCCO certification. All Terrain experience is preferred, with overtime and weekend work possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as crane operator or truck crane operator.
• Class A and/or B CDL License is required.
• NCCCO certification required.
• All Terrain experience preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Strong English reading and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic cranes safely for heavy lifting and transport.
• Prioritize personal and coworker safety at all times.
• Maintain awareness of safety culture and communicate hazards.
• Inspect lifting gear, slings, cables, and rigging before lifts.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure crane reliability.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures during operation.
• Maintain constant radio/hand communication with riggers during lifts.
• Participate in safety meetings and safety programs.
• Ensure lifts are within load limits and equipment is properly rigged.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the safe operation of crane used in heavy lifting and transport
• Responsible for personal safety and safety of co-workers
• Shows commitment to safety culture through personal behavior and willingness to influence others
• Responsible for slings, cables, straps, and the crane prior to lifting operations
• Perform preventative maintenance as required to ensure safe and continual service of crane
• Responsible for own and rigger’s compliance with company policy, safety guidelines and procedures that pertain to the crane operator’s job
• Remains in continual voice (radio), hand, and or communication with rigger while operating the crane, if required
• Responsible for creating an environment fostering open communications concerning safety issues
• Participates in safety meetings and other safety programs
• Assures that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and correctly rigged
• Assures that lifting gear is inspected prior to use
• Follows correct lock-out and tag procedures crane equipment to hoist materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner

REQUIREMENTS

• Min 1 year experience as crane operator and/or truck crane operator AT
• Completion of High School or secondary education is preferred
• Must have Class A and/or B CDL License
• NCCCO certification required
• All Terrain experience preferred
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays, available and preferred
• Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers, suppliers, and manufacturers
• Must be able to read and speak the English languagewell enoughto communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, stoop, climb, and move about equipment. Some heavy physicaleffort required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lb. Will regularly be exposed to noise, heat, dust, and fumesaround repair facility. Extreme weather conditions possible, at times. Must be able to drive a vehicle for localtravel.
