Job summary

AME, Inc. is seeking a qualified Crane Operator to join our team in the Carolinas/Southeast region. You will operate mobile cranes to lift and position heavy loads with precision, following safety protocols and signals from the crew.

The role requires NCCCO certification for TSS/TLL cranes, OSHA safety knowledge, and a CDL-A. You will work on-site at various locations, ensuring safe set-up and efficient project progression.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile cranes to lift, move, and position heavy loads at various sites.
• Follow instructions to regulate crane speed and direction.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of the crane and report malfunctions.
• Complete job tickets and necessary paperwork with accuracy.
• Transport, unload, and set up cranes at worksites with proper stability.
• Adjust boom sections for specialized tasks like pile driving.
• Collaborate with team members and respond to signals from helpers.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company standards.
• Perform additional tasks as needed to ensure project success.

Role Overview:

If you're a Crane Operator ready to take on challenges and be part of a hardworking team, we may have the perfect opportunity for you! We're looking for skilled operators to drive and operate our mobile cranes to lift, move, and position heavy loads with precision and safety. This position reports to our Fort Mill, SC location.

What You'll Do:

• Operate cranes under general supervision to lift and position heavy machinery, equipment, or large objects at various sites.
• Follow written, verbal, or signal instructions to regulate speed and direction of crane movement.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of the crane and identify any malfunctions.
• Complete job tickets, service quality summaries, and necessary paperwork with accuracy.
• Transport, unload, and set up cranes at worksites, placing blocks and outriggers to ensure stability.
• Adjust and extend boom sections as needed for specialized tasks like pile driving or high lifting.
• Work closely with team members to ensure smooth operations, responding to signals from helpers.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company standards.
• Perform additional tasks as needed to ensure project success.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for 10-12 hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
• Comfortable climbing ladders, steps, and working on lifts.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience operating boom trucks and/or cranes.
• Must have a CDL-A
