American Equipment Holdings (American Equipment HR LLC) in Anaheim, CA, seeks a Mobile Crane Inspector to service and inspect electric overhead traveling cranes. You will perform preventive maintenance, assist customers with safety considerations, and troubleshoot issues on-site, with travel as needed.

Qualifications include 2+ years electro-mechanical maintenance, knowledge of 480VAC 3-phase motor control, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• A.A. degree or equivalent vocational-training or experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record; drug screen and background check required.

We are looking for a Mobile Crane Inspector for our Anaheim, CA branch.

Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes
• Spend time consulting with customers on repair and safety related issues
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
• Generate sales leads during service calls
• Accurately and neatly document on the service report for the work performed.
• New crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Travel may be required. Work vehicle provided.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory, as well as the ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3 phase motor control systems. A.A. degree or Equivalent vocational-training or experience is preferred.
• A minimum of 2-year hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance
• Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments as well as familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment
• Willingness to work overtime
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Must pass drug-screen and background check
• Strong communication skills
• Proven commitment to safety
• Comfort with working at heights
• Experience in Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus
• Crane maintenance or inspection experience required
• Prefer CAL/OSHA Certification, but not required

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call or Overtime possible
