Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors in Macon, GA is seeking a Commercial Concrete Finisher to perform forming, pouring and finishing of concrete per specs. You will read drawings, construct and set forms, verify elevations, and help install reinforcement, while maintaining safety and quality on site.

Teamwork with foreman and crews is essential to deliver durable concrete structures. Experience with formwork and finishing, with a focus on safety and efficiency, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand drawings and prints.
• Experience building wood or metal forms.
• Commitment to safety policies and guidelines.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete structures.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations.
• Set and erect forms using various materials and systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using a plumb bob, carpenter’s level, laser and/or digital transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager regarding any problems arising, materials required, or any safety hazards identified.
• Ensure equipment is all in safe working condition.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
