Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking candidates for its Mobile Computer Vision and AI Systems Architecture Team in San Diego. The role focuses on hardware-aware algorithm design and deep learning engine architectures for mobile CV and AI workloads across CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, NPUs, and accelerators.

You will drive HW/SW partitioning, dataflow optimization, quantization, and performance-per-watt improvements, collaborating with hardware teams to shape next-generation AI engines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of experience; OR
• Master's degree with 1+ year of experience; OR
• PhD in related field.

Responsibilities

• Study state-of-the-art CV and DL models and map them to mobile AI accelerators and heterogeneous platforms.
• Drive architecture for hardware-aware DL engines, operators, dataflows, and quantization.
• Analyze workloads to improve performance, power, memory bandwidth, and silicon area.
• Define HW/SW partitioning across CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, NPUs, accelerators.
• Develop workload characterizations and performance models for CV and AI apps.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to define future AI engine features.
