Job summary

Hawthorne Health seeks a skilled sonographer to perform echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients, ensuring accurate imaging and proper labeling for cardiology review. The role requires following sponsor and ASE guidelines and completing preliminary reports with measurements and comments.

You will travel to patient homes to conduct visits, transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment, and perform basic troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or related certification with adult emphasis.
• 3+ years of clinical sonography experience in both adult and pediatric populations.
• BLS certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local/region travel.
• Access to computer and internet; proficient with digital tools.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms per protocol on adult and pediatric patients.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review.
• Follow sponsor and protocol imaging guidelines; complete preliminary report with measurements and comments.
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE standards.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Travel to patient homes to conduct visits; explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
