Job summary

Bevara Building Services is seeking a Mobile Building Engineer to deliver world-class service for buildings in the South Milwaukee area. You will maintain the property's physical condition and safeguard it against damage, loss, and deterioration, acting as a true jack of all trades.

The role offers a company vehicle, a first shift schedule, and opportunities to contribute to safety, efficiency, and preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred 3–5 years of experience in commercial building operations and engineering.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and make independent decisions.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with smartphones; valid driver’s license.
• Lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Regularly assess building systems.
• Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance; respond to service requests for interior and exterior equipment.
• Manage work orders for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.
• Maintain an ongoing task list for the property management team.
• Coordinate with vendors; supervise their check-in/out and document work performed.
• Assist with fire panel and extinguisher inspections.
• Maintain safe job sites and follow safety standards.
• Represent the company professionally in line with its values.

About the Position

As a Mobile Building Engineer

you will be responsible for maintaining a property’s physical condition and safeguarding it against damage, loss, and deterioration. The ideal candidate is proactive, self-motivated, and versatile—a true jack of all trades.

Typical Hours: 1st shift

What you’ll be doing

• Conduct regular assessments of building systems.
• Perform minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and respond to service requests for both interior and exterior building equipment.
• Manage work order requests related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.
• Proactively maintain an ongoing task list for the property management team.
• Serve as the primary contact for vendors, overseeing their check-in/out process and escorting them to their work areas while documenting the work completed.
• Assist with fire panel and extinguisher inspections.
• Ensure a safe job site and adhere to company, OSHA, and client-specific safety standards.
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner consistent with our values.
