Job summary

South Bend Medical Foundation seeks a Courier/Driver to safely transport, set up, and support mobile blood drives across SBMF locations. You will operate mobile units, load and unload equipment, assist with donor registration, and ensure all gear is prepared for safe, efficient drives.

Must have a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and DOT medical certification. Excellent communication, organization, and ability to work independently are essential; physical ability to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Must meet DOT medical certification requirements.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, procedures, schedules and safety rules.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing blood drive schedules.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use mobile technology and department systems.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and operate SBMF mobile units and other vehicles to collection sites.
• Set up and break down blood drive equipment and supplies.
• Support donor registration activities and transport collected blood products as needed.
• Load, unload, and secure equipment and supplies.
• Ensure equipment and technology are maintained and prepared for safe drives.
