Job summary

The American Red Cross seeks a phlebotomy-support staffer to assist with blood collection at local sites and mobile drives. You will help transport, set up equipment, and welcome donors throughout shifts.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided to advance healthcare skills within the organization. Ideal candidates have strong customer service, a valid driver's license, and comfort working flexible schedules, including early mornings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights and long hours.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required.

Responsibilities

• Drive blood collection vehicles to mobile sites and transport supplies, equipment, and staff.
• Engage donors, share their stories, and explain the impact of their donation.
• Create a welcoming environment to encourage return donations.
• Ensure blood collection meets goals, meets regulatory requirements, and can be transfused safely.
• Assist with setup and teardown of equipment at donation sites.
