Job summary

Java City is seeking a Beverage Mixologist to represent our brand at farmers markets, corporate campuses, festivals, and private bookings across Sacramento and surrounding areas. You’ll craft espresso drinks, seasonal beverages, and cold brews from scratch, delivering consistent quality in a fast-paced mobile kitchen.

You’ll work under the Events Manager, with no supervisory duties, focusing on the trailer operations, setup/breakdown, safe food handling, and delivering hospitality that reflects

Qualifications

• Prior barista or bartending experience preferred; training provided.
• Current California Food Handler Card or ability to obtain one.
• Comfort working in a compact mobile environment and standing for extended periods.
• Full availability across weekdays, weekends, and holidays as per events calendar.
• Basic math and cash handling accuracy.
• Genuine interest in coffee sourcing and ability to discuss it with customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso-based and specialty beverages to Java City's standards.
• Take customer orders at the truck window and relay customizations.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and refrigeration; follow SOPs.
• Follow food safety protocols and maintain sanitation logs.
• Maintain a valid California Food Handler Card.
• Manage supply tracking and pre-shift inventory checks.
• Set up and break down the truck at event sites.
• Handle POS transactions and cash reconciliation.
• Deliver hospitality reflecting Java City's partnerships with farmers.
• Represent the brand at events and interact with organizers and clients.
